Hi, Welcome to Bradrock Bait's musky fishing lures website.  Not a lot of entertainment value here, but a good place to check out some great muskie fishing baits.  I've been a musky hunter since I was a kid and I've always been a fan of jerkbaits and crankbaits; it's the ability to add your own "finesse" when working them that I like.  Being a long time "tinkerer" of musky baits and making a few of my own. I thought it would be fun to develop a muskie bait starting from a blank page.

I'm an engineer and designer by trade and have the latest technologies in solid modeling, prototyping, mold-making, and molding at my disposal.  I must say that the designing and prototyping is the most enjoyable part of this endeavor.  I started the process by brainstorming what I wanted in a muskie bait, and then figured out ways to achieve it.  And when all was said and done I would name it after my baby girl Molly.  The following is a list of the abilities I wanted in a bait and the features that help achieve them:

1) Tuff construction -  The Molly Bait utilizes a solid plastic body with insert molded hardware
2) Tuff lip - I went with a thick gusseted lip molded from a strong polymer.
3) Natural profile - Went with a natural forage profile with a drop-belly, gill line, and smooth free flowing surfaces.
4) Big silhouette - I wanted allot of profile visibility without the mass of round body, so I went with a tall thin shaped body.
5) Flash and Belly Roll - designed curving lip to provide these fish triggering actions.
6) Easy twitching - The combination of a smooth streamlined body and unique lip shape make for an easy cranking bait that twitches and "kicks out" easy without tiring effort.
7) Snag Resistant - a reverse angle on the bottom of the lip tends to deflect off rather than dig into rocks and structure.
8) Shallow Working - I like to fish close to structure and be aware of what I'm "working".  I processed the bait to have a slow rise - just enough to slowly float over a weed clump or rock, but heavy enough that with light twitching it will maintain it's depth.  The baits can be worked a 1 foot down or cranked down to 8-10 feet.
9) Twice the fun - Scaled up the 7.5" incher by 33% and the 10 incher was born in a keystroke
10) Realistic paint patterns - Professional paint jobs with quality finishes.
11) American Made - It's all made here in the USA with stainless Wolverine triple rings and Eagle Claw lazer sharps

That's about it.  I've already enjoyed my first few muskies on them and it was a very rewarding experience.  I have had positive feedback from musky fishing professionals in the industry and I hope you'll like then too.  All craftsmanship is 100% guaranteed.
